Sharing Dog Treats with the Community

The Evangelism Committee asked Ray K to create a storage box that could serve as a place for walkers and their dogs to retrieve a dog treat as they passed the church on the walking path. Nancy was able to have a sign prepared that welcomed any walkers along the path to help themselves to a treat for their four legged “fur babies” to enjoy.

With the assistance from Ken R and Jim M, Ray finally installed the finished box on December 6, 2023.

Safety Reflectors were also attached to this box so that walkers and/or riders could detect the sign in the dark with only minimal light for seeing the path on which to travel. Thank you, Jim, for this great suggestion!

Our first happy visitor, Boo Boo, received several treats, with his owner’s permission, of course! This is one of the benefits of being the first in line as the host gives away “the good stuff” to our neighbors.

The Dog Treat Box is located along the walking path on the north side of the church. Stop by this box, even if you don’t have a dog and let’s marvel at EPC’s newest installment.
